Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of LeagueHaus (the "Service") operated by LeagueHaus ("LeagueHaus", "we", "us", or "our"). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" includes that organization.
2. Description of Service
LeagueHaus is a platform for running recreational game leagues — venues, seasons, teams, game nights, standings, and related features. The Service is provided on an ongoing basis and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 where required by local law) to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. Certain leagues may impose additional age requirements (for example, leagues hosted at venues that serve alcohol).
4. Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for safeguarding the means of accessing your account (your email inbox, magic link, and any connected sign-in provider). You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose
- Harass, threaten, defame, or otherwise harm other users
- Post content that infringes a third party's rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights
- Upload viruses, malware, or any code intended to disrupt the Service
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to access
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without prior written permission
- Use automated means (scrapers, bots) to access the Service in a way that imposes an unreasonable load
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service except as expressly permitted
6. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Service ("Your Content"), including league data, team rosters, announcements, and comments. By submitting Your Content, you grant LeagueHaus a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and transmit Your Content solely as needed to operate and provide the Service to you and the other members of your league or venue.
You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant this license and that Your Content does not violate these Terms or any applicable law.
7. Copyright and DMCA
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, please submit a notice as described in our DMCA Policy. We may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with third-party services (for example, email delivery and web-push providers). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, logos, and trademarks (other than Your Content), is owned by LeagueHaus or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for LeagueHaus, or for any other reason in our reasonable discretion. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive (including Sections 6, 9, 11–14, 16, and 17).
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will LeagueHaus or its officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or any other legal theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (US$100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the limitations above may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LeagueHaus and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to (i) Your Content, (ii) your use of the Service, (iii) your violation of these Terms, or (iv) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
14. Beta and Early-Stage Features
From time to time we may offer features identified as "beta", "preview", or "experimental". Those features are provided for evaluation only, may be modified or discontinued, and are excluded from any service-level commitment.
15. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will provide notice (for example, by posting an updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, by email or in-product notice). Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of {{JURISDICTION}}, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute that is not subject to arbitration (where applicable) will be the courts located in {{JURISDICTION}}, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
17. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and LeagueHaus regarding the Service.
- Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
